Join the First Friday Lunch Committee!

Are you looking for and easy way to get involved at West Sylvan?  Being a part of the First Friday lunch committee is a great way to spend some time in the school while showing our amazing teachers and staff how much they are appreciated. 

Every month our committee picks a theme and organizes a sign-up for parents to bring in food and drink for staff on the First Friday of the month.  We need a few parents each month to be on-site to setup, restock, and cleanup the lunch over the course of the three lunch periods.  It is fun, easy, and a great way to get to meet some of the teachers and staff at WSMS.

The staff loves this West Sylvan tradition - it allows them to have a delicious lunch, spend some time with co-workers, and not have to pack a lunch. They have no time to leave the campus for lunch and are so happy to have amazing, fresh food brought in just for them.

If you are not able to help on the committee, please keep your eyes peeled for our monthly signups to contribute to the meals.  It is truly a treasured tradition here at West Sylvan, and it wouldn’t be possible without support from all of you.

How can you help? There are three ways!

1. Volunteer to help plan, set-up or serve lunch. You can sign up on our volunteer page here or email Sarah Pitman directly at sarahpitman@comcast.net.

2. Review the SignUpGenius each month to see what food items are needed for the lunch. Items can be homemade or store-bought.  

3. Donate funds to help support any purchase of food or supplies.
